H2Oral Irrigator Review

Having excellent oral hygiene is important, but it can also take a lot of work and commitment. This can seem daunting, and is often one of the reasons that people fail to follow through on their dentists’ recommendations to brush twice a day and floss almost as often. Adding another step to that routine can seem daunting, but the fact of the matter is that often just brushing and flossing is the bare minimum for ensuring continued tooth and gum health. New Water-based flossing methods are becoming more popular, but as an additional process it can be hard for some people to take the plunge and purchase one. The H2Oral Irrigator is unique, because it is a product that adds virtually no time to your morning or evening routine… because you use it while you are in the shower!

Who is the H2Oral Irrigator Intended For?

The H2Oral Irrigator is the perfect product for those without serious oral health issues who want to increase the results they get from their daily dental-care routine without significantly increasing the time it takes to do so. At only $22.95 (or less if you buy through Amazon), this irrigator is a cost-effective way to try out water-based floss mechanisms. Those with additional dental concerns or hoping for detailed cleaning of orthodontics may want to pass on this one, or use it in addition to a model that can be used in front of a mirror.

What are the health benefits of using the H2Oral Irrigator?

There are many health benefits associated with the increased plaque and bacteria removal facilitated by using water jet devices as part of a daily tooth-care regimen. By focusing the stream of water on the spaces between teeth and just below the gum line it is possible to reverse gingivitis and prevent gum disease and cavities. The convenience of this product makes it less likely for users to skip over its use in favor of “saving time” – and by performing this procedure regularly the health benefits are greatly increased.

What sets the H2Oral Irrigator Apart?

There’s no denying that the most impressive part of this product is its innovative design. After all, in a world obsessed with saving time wherever you can, the H2Oral Irrigator is a lifesaver! Unlike most other water jet devices, the H2Oral Irrigator does not require any electrical power (either wall outlet or batteries) in order to function. Likewise, it does not require any counter space or extensive cleaning. Instead, it attaches directly to any shower head, and utilizes the existing water pressure to function. Four separate heads with individual colors are included so that the entire family can maintain their tooth and gum health. A lifetime warranty promises demonstrates that the company is dedicated to their “satisfaction guaranteed” policy.

How User-Friendly is the H2Oral Irrigator?

Having an oral hygiene device in your shower might seem a little unorthodox, but the H2Oral Irrigator has been designed to ease your transition. The hose attaches to nearly any shower head, and the pick itself has a six foot long tube – making it incredibly versatile for use at any height. Installation itself involves only four steps, although some caution does need to be taken to ensure that the plastic attachment does not strip the threads of the shower pipe. This product also eliminates any concerns about the mess that can come with counter top water flossing products – any water that sprays around is contained within the shower and easily cleaned up. The hand held portion of the device has a nozzle to adjust the pressure of the water stream, so no matter the strength of your shower you will be able to easily adjust the stream coming into contact with your gums.

How do customers feel about the H2Oral Irrigator?

Reviews from those who have used the H2Oral Irrigator are overwhelmingly positive. The few cautionary suggestions come from those who had difficulty avoiding damage to the threads on their shower pipe/shower head, and others who warn that this product may not be as effective as the more expensive counter top models. From an aesthetic point of view, some do find that the brightly colored plastic nozzles are a bit juvenile for adult use. Lastly, some users did struggle with their individual shower systems due to incompatibilities with their shower head or household water pressure – but these problems were few and far between.

Aside from these few experiences, most users of the H2Oral Irrigator have found that it has greatly aided them as they attempt to improve or maintain their oral health and hygiene. For some, the practicality of having it directly in the shower where there is no need for additional clean-up or filling up reservoirs was revolutionary. Others love that it allows them to keep their bathroom counters clutter-free – especially helpful if the bathroom is one that guests use often.

Additionally, it can be very freeing to have a product that does not run off of electricity and that has only a few components to the entire mechanism. The likelihood of breaks in the body itself is very small, and given the H2Oral Irrigator’s low price and lifelong warranty, even in the event of a break the customer will not be left high and dry. This product is especially helpful when it comes to children, as they often find the fun of cleaning their teeth in the shower very motivating.

The H2Oral Irrigator is more than a novelty, however. Users find that using it for just a minute or two every day makes their mouths feel as clean as a trip to the dentist. Individuals with braces find that it easily dislodges food from behind brackets and wires. Many who have tried the H2Oral Irrigator report that their dentists and dental hygienists have noticed a change in gum health at their next appointment after beginning to use this model. Given the low price of this product, the ease with which it is installed, and the convenience of being able to use it while in the shower, this is one of the lowest-risk purchases for those interested in trying out a water-based flossing system.

Waterpik WP-480 Showerpik Review

The Waterpik WP-480 Showerpik water flosser offers all the benefits of a regular water flosser while you are taking a shower. It removes plaque and food debris from deep between teeth and below the gumline where dental floss and brushing can’t reach; it gets rid of bacteria and improves blood circulation in gum tissue by massaging them, to prevent gingivitis and bleeding by using water pressure and pulsation.

This exceptionally engineered combination is considered to be significantly more successful than string floss and air floss in improving gum health. More specifically, it was shown in clinical studies that the Waterpik Water Flosser is the only kind that is considerably more successful than regular dental floss and Sonicare Air Floss in reduction of plaque, as well as gingivitis and gum disease prevention.

The innovation of the Waterpik Showerpik Water Flosser lies with the fact that it attaches easily to an existing fixed mount or hand held showerhead and with a smart two-way chrome diverter allows water flow either from the showerhead alone, or though the shower together with the water flosser. This way you may conveniently water floss while you shower completing a hygiene ritual without making a mess by spraying water all over your bathroom.

And since there is no reservoir as the Showerpik provides an unlimited water source, there is no need for constant refilling. The Showerpik can be easily attached to an existing shower wall pipe. It can be installed within minutes and the two-way diverter fits on most showerheads.

This irrigator is found to remove almost all plaque film from an area treated for up to 3 seconds. Clinical trials show that it is 50% more effective in improving gum health than regular dental floss and up to 80% more efficient than Sonicare Air Floss. It is easy to use and very convenient as it makes no mess and takes up no countertop space. And of course there is no need for water refilling, as it is directly connected to the water supply.

The product has a waterproof design (we should certainly hope so!) and a dual pressure control. It has a chrome, two-way shower diverter to interchange between the irrigator and the shower and the shower alone. It does not require batteries, as it is rechargeable. The Watepik WP-480 Showerpik package includes:

  • The water jet handle
  • The hose diverter
  • 2 classic jet tips
  • 1 hygienic tip cover
  • Rechargeable battery pack
  • Charger

As with all Waterpik products, it comes with a two-year warranty, a full quick start guide, an instruction manual, as well as detailed installation instructions.

The Waterpik Showerpik WP-480 competes directly with the Oral Breeze ShowerBreeze, but is the more mechanical and technical option. It has a good 4 star out of 5 rating on Amazon, with more than half of users giving it a perfect rating. There are some people who note leakage issues and a short-life span, just so you’re aware of all the possibilities, but they are certainly in the minority.

Like all Waterpik products, this is an excellent unit to buy if you want the convenience of being able to floss in the shower.

RediBreeze Oral Irrigator Review

RediBreeze is an oral irrigator manufactured in America by Oral Breeze, a veteran owned company. It is an appliance to be used over the bathroom sink without the noise and bulky water tank of an electric flosser. No one will hear you using it. It is neatly placed beside your faucet, taking up almost no space at your countertop. It is an oral irrigation system permanently attached to the faucet. It works with water pressure, therefore offering the aforementioned advantages. It is always there, ready to be used.

redibreeze

It offers everything regular electric irrigators have to offer. It is highly recommended for people wearing braces and other dental work, as it dislodges food debris from hard to reach places, as well as between teeth, giving you a fresh breath. It is also ideal for periodontal pockets, as it gets under the gumline. It clears lose plaque preventing it from forming tartar, which can only be removed by oral care professionals. It is great in fighting gum disease and bleeding gums. It removes bacteria attached to gum tissue to assist healing, without hurting the gums, since irrigation pressure is regulated simply by adjusting the pressure of your faucet.

The RediBreeze package consists of a female attachment and a brass M/M adaptor which fits almost all faucets (standard US plumbing 15/16″- 27×55/64″-27 inside/outside thread, 13/16 with included adapter).

Continuing with it’s incredible commitment to custom service, the company encourages potential customers to make contact in case of a specialty sized faucet adaptor. We’re glad to see Oral Breeze continues to be an amazing company with great products (check out our reviews of the QuickBreeze and the ShowerBreeze).

A chrome plated brass valve comes between the faucet attachment and the hose holder. The valve allows you to switch between Redibreeze and the faucet operation, quickly and effectively without detaching the hose holder, making the device particularly convenient. It includes a 24’’ hose ending in a tip holder, as well as two same size dentist-recommended fan spray tips (one green and one yellow). There are replacement tips available in the market.

The RediBreeze irrigator has a long life expectancy, as its valve is constructed of chrome-plated brass, preventing it from leaks and wear. It comes with detailed set up instructions and usage manual. The installation does not require any tools. It has a manufacturer’s 30-day money back guarantee from OralBreeze. The company also provides customers with an 800 help line to answer questions regarding installation and/or usage.

The product has over 400 customer reviews on Amazon and a 4.5 star rating.

Over 300 satisfied customers gave it a 5 star rating for being compact, simple and easy to use. Water temperature and pressure can be easily regulated through the faucet. Most praise the fact that it takes up very little space. Many also refer to it as ideal for children. However, a small percentage is dissatisfied with the fact that is does not provide the opportunity to use mouthwash or other solvents with it (if you get a unit with a water basin, you can mix in or add these things). Most remaining complaints have to do with installation issues and the fact that the adaptor comes off rather easily. Nevertheless, the product overall seems to be a good, inexpensive alternative to bulky, electric water flossers.

ShowerBreeze 3’ Hose Oral Irrigation Review

The ShowerBreeze 3′ Hose Oral Irrigator, as its name suggests, takes oral irrigation from the sink to the shower. Instead of water flossing over the bathroom sink, the ShowerBreeze provides the possibility of water flossing your teeth and gums while taking a shower. This is extremely convenient, as most complaints about home oral irrigation units have to do with the fact that water sprays all over the bathroom.

The device does not operate on electricity and it does not have a reservoir to refill. It is directly connected to the water supply though the shower faucet with the use of a valve. Water pressure is regulated by the valve’s handle. By switching the handle you can successively alternate between shower mode and oral irrigation mode. For maximum pressure you can turn the water completely to irrigation mode, though don’t worry – you can get it just right so you can still enjoy the warm water of the shower while you’re cleaning your teeth!

>>Click Here to See Pricing, Ratings and Reviews on Amazon.com<<

The installation procedure is pretty straightforward and does not require any tools. The valve must be positioned between the shower hose and the shower head.

  1. First, you remove the shower head.
  2. Then you add some plumber’s tape around the hose and screw the ShowerBreeze valve on it.
  3. Then in turn, cover the other side of the valve with some plumber’s tape and screw the shower head back on.

The valve is made of chrome plated brass. The grip and tip are connected to the valve through a hose. The tips come with dental recommendation. As soon as it is installed, it is ready to use, easily accessible giving you plaque free gums and teeth while you shower.

The ShowerBreeze oral irrigation system can be found in two versions depending on the length of the hose: the 3 feet version and the 6 feet version (you can find our review of the 6 foot version here). Both versions are as good in removing debris and plaque between the teeth and under the gums; however the manufacturer suggests that the 6 feet hose can be used in other ways as well, such as cleaning areas on one’s body that are hard to reach or for rinsing the shower walls. Some people also like the longer hose so that they can reach it out of the shower to do their teeth over the sink. The 3 foot version is a bit more manageable in terms of hose length. 6 feet hanging from your shower head can get in the way of some shower set ups.

Given that most people take a shower every day, the ShowerBreeze can prove to be particularly easy to use. A common excuse among people that don’t floss is that it is unpleasant and time-consuming. While other oral irrigation units cut down on the time and unpleasantness big time, the ShowerBreeze system means you don’t have to fill the reservoir and you don’t have to clean all the little bits and pieces in the same way, because this is a simple system. Furthermore, it is easy to make a mess by spraying water all over the countertop. None of the above is an issue with ShowerBreeze. You just simply extend your shower time by a couple minutes.

The device has over 300 customer reviews on Amazon and a 4.4 average rating. Most dissatisfied customers just had installation and leaking problems, which is more likely to be an issue with their shower head configuration or skills at basic plumbing than anything else.

The majority of the customers are happy with their purchase, and we’re pleased to recommend this version of the product (though feel free to look at the 6 foot version, too). They comment on all favorable aspects of the device mentioned above, as well as its price which is significantly lower than electric models. Overall, the ShowerBreeze oral irrigation system is a good deal.

Profloss 4190 Waterflosser Review

The ProFloss 4190 Waterflosser was designed for the fans of simplicity and practicality all combined with an eco-friendly touch. It is an idea based on elementary hydraulics. It claims to offer all the advantages of any other electric oral irrigator. It will get rid of debris and plaque causing bacteria that brushing failed to remove, while at the same time gently massage your gums. It is highly recommended for children and individuals wearing braces. It grants you a healthy smile and helps freshen your breath.

It is probably the simplest water flosser currently in the market. The design is pretty straightforward. Unlike most other water flossers, it is faucet powered. This means that it does not have a reservoir – it works with the pressure of the water coming directly from the tap. The aerator of the bathroom faucet is replaced by the ProFloss aerator. The ProFloss aerator fits most faucets with 15/16″ female faucet threads and 55/64″ male faucet threads, as it has both internal and external threads. Then, every time you wish to floss, you simply snap the hose of the flosser to the ProFloss aerator, turn the water on and you’re ready to go, provided you have the appropriate faucet.

Advantages of the Profloss 4190

First of all, it is environmentally friendly, which means that there is no need of a power source. As a result, there is no motor, thus no annoying noise. No use of batteries or a potentially dangerous electricity cord is required, making it safe for children to use. As it is directly connected to the water supply, it doesn’t have a reservoir that needs to be refilled. It is compact and lightweight and unlike other bulky oral irrigators, it creates no clutter on the countertop, which is a common complaint amongst water flosser users. It can be stored away, yet still be ready to use any time, as it attaches and detaches very easily. It has four pressure settings to meet all needs and all ages. Turning it on or off is as simple as turning on and off the faucet. Last but certainly not least, it is the cheapest water flosser in the market. With few parts and no electrical gadgets, ProFloss is most economical irrigator you can get. So, in terms of saving space, time and money, the ProFloss Waterflosser seems to have it all.

Even as inexpensive as it is, it still manages to get 4 out of 5 stars by real users on Amazon.com, and has over 125 reviews. This shows us that it passes the test of real life, and that it is a fairly popular choice for people in the market. To be fair, a few comments suggest that you get what you pay for, but if you’re just looking for an easy to use, no-frills tool to help with your oral hygiene, this is a good little unit.

QuickBreeze – Dental Oral Irrigator Review

OralBreeze is an outstanding company, and this one of two units that made it onto our Top 5 list. The other, the ShowerBreeze, is a much larger, more intense unit that fits on your showerhead. The QuickBreeze has a very similar concept, only it is hooked onto your standard bathroom sink faucet.

The company is Veteran owned and operated and is, of course, American. We found out that they have a hugely positive reputation amongst customers thanks to their lifetime warranty and amazing customer service. Time after time, we heard about the company sending two extra parts, rather than just the one that was requested, for example. They also are friendly, helpful, and make it a joy to deal with them. We are huge fans of the company due to these reasons, but it really helps that they actually make a great product, too!

>>Click Here to See Pricing, Ratings and Reviews on Amazon.com<<

The QuickBreeze Oral Irrigator is very easy to install and even more simple to use. The company even says, “If you can turn on a faucet, you can have pink, healthy gums”. Sounds pretty easy, right?

Well, you attach the adaptor to your faucet, and then click the QuickBreeze valve into place, which is connected to the hose, which of course leads to the actual hand held ‘pik’. Simply turn on the water and you’re good to go! it’s so easy, that I think the company is right when they say that it’s so simple and quick that you will have no reason or excuse to miss a floss, unlike normal string-type dental floss.

This product comes with two different tips, so it’s great for one person for longevity, but works perfectly for a couple, as each person can have their own tip.

Users say that this is an incredibly well made unit that holds up for years. It’s quite different than having a rechargeable unit or a counter-top unit that takes up space and needs maintenance. Simply unclip this one when you’re done using it if you don’t want it taking up space under your faucet or on your counter, and it’s out of the way. The ease of installation makes this a real breeze.

>>Click Here to See Pricing, Ratings and Reviews on Amazon.com<<

Keep in mind, too, that this is an ultra-quiet model, thanks to there being no motor or anything, like most of it’s competitors, particularly counter-top water flossers. If noise is an issue, this can be a great thing. Lots of the others can be rather noisy, and if you go to bed after others in your household, you don’t want to have to worry about waking them if you are going to do something as basic as flossing your teeth. Rest assured that this is quiet, but still gets the job done – just adjust the pressure with the tap and your silent flossing begins!

While it does not have many features or bells and whistles to talk about, we think the quality and the reviews speak for the product very well. Nearly 72% of users gave this a perfect 5 star rating, and overall it sits at a very good 4.4 out of 5 stars on Amazon.com. Go check it out, we really think you’ll be pleased you did.

ShowerBreeze w/ 6′ Hose Water Jet Dental Irrigator Review

OralBreeze is an excellent company, and we’re really happy to see that they’ve made our top 5 list not once, but twice (the other is the QuickBreeze, which is like the mini version of this unit). They’re an American company that is “Veteran owned and operated”. They offer lifetime warranties, and their customer service is legendary amongst customers, who rave about the hassle-free service they receive all the time.

>>Click Here to See Pricing, Ratings and Reviews on Amazon.com<<

The ShowerBreeze is so simple to use, really easy to install, does the job, and allows for major convenience. There is a version with a 3 foot hose, but we really recommend getting the longer 6 foot hose just because it allows for maximum versatility. With this one, you can use it in the shower, as it is designed for, but because the hose is longer, you could stretch it out and use it over your bathroom sink, too, if you need to use it and it isn’t the right time to have a shower.

As mentioned, the point of this unit is for convenient use in the shower, to quicken your morning routine. You simply attach it to your showerhead and use an on and off valve to regulate the flow of water.

There are no fancy features to confuse you or clutter your bathroom. This is a simple unit made for one thing – to clean your teeth and to do it well. It comes with two tips, which either make it great for longevity (though that won’t matter thanks to the lifetime warranty), or perfect for a couple.

We found the simplicity and ease of use to be really nice compared to some of the other models with various buttons and switches and knobs. With this, there isn’t even any reservoir to fill up, obviously, as it takes water from the shower that you are likely already going to be having when using the ShowerBreeze.

>>Click Here to See Pricing, Ratings and Reviews on Amazon.com<<

What really sold us on this was the way that the actual users of the product talked about it. On Amazon.com, for example, which we find to be an excellent and accurate way to judge a product’s quality and usefulness, reviewers have given it an incredible 4.6 out of 5 stars! That is tied for first in the review department in terms of water flossers. 73% of users gave it a perfect 5 star rating, too. Both of these numbers are amazing, and this dental irrigator does not disappoint.

If you’re looking for something simple, easy to use, but good at what it is supposed to do, you should certainly consider the ShowerBreeze option for your water flossing needs. It may be a bit different than any other model, but it will get the job done, and you just cannot beat the quality or the company!

Here’s a helpful link on how to install it on your showerhead.
